What are emulators?
- Emulators in general are programs which allow you to run software originally designed for one system on a different system. They do this by emulating the hardware in the original system. In terms of gaming, you can play SNES games on a PC or even Mega Drive games on a PSP, all with the use of emulators.
What are "ROMs and ISOs"?
- ROMs are the game files extracted from the original cartridge or cassette. Any game taken from a CD or DVD is usually called an ISO.
Where can I find emulators and ROMs?
- You can find all these ROMs and emulators right here.
How big are ROMs and emulators?
- The sizes of the emulators are small (normally less than 1MB) however ROM sizes can range from 4KB to 4GB. Cassette based games are usually under 1MB, cartridge based games are rarely over 100MB, and games on a disc really be anything from 10MB to 700MB.
Where can I find ROMs for PS3, XBOX360 and Wii?
- You won't any files like that here, it is our policy to only supply games for obsolete systems. Plus any kind of emulation of these systems is a very very long way away. With powerful systems like these why not just buy the real thing?
